Visit one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world in the heart of the city of Basel.

The Botanical Garden of the University of Basel was founded in 1589 by Caspar Bauhin and is now located next to the Spalentor in the historic part of the city of Basel. In various show houses and open-air facilities, the garden displays over 7,500 different plant species from all the important habitats of the earth.

The new Tropical House was opened in spring 2023 and already at the end of June the titan arum has bloomed.
