In the primeval garden, newly created in 2019, you can marvel at plants that date back to the beginning of the evolutionary history of the plant kingdom. Framed by ginko and metasequoia, we show a large selection of ferns, clubmosses and original flowering plants. A special highlight is a fossilised, 210-million-year-old tree trunk from the Auraucaria group.
Among the plants on display in the primeval garden are:
- Hemp fern (Pteris wallichiana)
- Golden larch (Pseudolarix amabilis)
- Magellanic winter bark (Drimys winteri)
