Botanical Garden

Hidden in the cool, damp shade in the narrow gorge between the Victoria Greenhouse and the University Library, a plant community rich in fern species is developing on the rubble of the former greenhouse complex.

Among other you can find there:

  • American winter horsetail (Equisetum praealtum, syn. E. hyemale subsp. affine)
  • Evergreen maidenhair fern (Adiantum venustum)
  • King fern (Osmunda regalis)
