Closing of the Tropical Greenhouse: Start of the Constructions

Since the beginning of July 2019 the Tropical Greenhouse is closed for the public. The plants are being evacuated and a temporary greenhouse is erected for the tropcial plants. Later on in autumn starts the deconstruction phase.
Construction phase
During the construction phase from summer 2019 to summer 2021 the Tropical Greenhouse and the Foyer remains unavailable for visitors. The temporary greenhouse erected close to the Victoria house is for safety reasons not accessible for the public. The rest of the garden remains open for the public as usual.

Info stall of the Verein
The greenhouse no. 5 on the left hand side of the Victoria greenhouse now houses the info stall of the Foundation Verein Botanischer Garten beim Spalentor and is open as usual on Sundays from 11-17. The greenhouse can also be used by visitor to picknick in case of unfriendly weather.
